Charging Policy – effective 1/1/2017
Walnut Communications hourly charge is $80 per hour.
Walnut Communications provides phone & cable TV service to the service drop point (ground block) on the side of your home or business. As our customer, you are responsible for maintaining all wiring and hardware past that point. “Inside wire” refers to the wiring running from the protector to devices in your home. If it is deemed phone or cable TV trouble is the result of your home or business’s internal wiring or hardware and/or a telephone, answering machine, television, VCRs, amplifier, etc. that you own, you will be billed at $80 per hour of the time spent working on your issue, trouble shooting and drive time. This charge will be on your next billing statement. Our business hours are currently 8-4:30PM, Monday-Friday. All time during non-business hours will be charge time and a half at a rate of $120 per hour.
Walnut Communications provides Internet service to the modem for DSL, VDSL and Cable Modem customers and to the ONT for Fiber customers. As our customer, you are responsible for maintaining all wiring and hardware past that point. “Inside wire” refers to the wiring running from the modem or ONT throughout your home or business. Modems are installed at the best possible location for each individual situation and the discretion of the technician. If you would like the modem in a different location, you will be billed time and materials.
